The first weekend in August, 2026, Ellie was entered in her very first conformation show. Our Bulldog Club of Greater Seattle and BCA Division V held their specialty shows in Bothell, WA. There were six specialty shows held over the weekend, drawing entries from as far away as CA, NV, AZ and Canada and each show had the opportunity for earning those coveted "major" wins. I figured this would be a great learning experience for her, but wasn't expecting any big successes at her young age.

Ellie was entered in the Bred By Exhibitor Puppy class as well as Puppy Sweepstakes and her very first time in the ring she came away with a 1st place and Best Opposite in Sweeps. As if that wasn't fun enough this beautiful little lady was selected as Breeder-Judge Link Newcomb's Winners Bitch and Best of Winners taking her first 5 point major at the first show of the weekend! She was also awarded Best Bred-By-Exhibitor and Best Puppy.

Ellie seemed to love the ring and showed well throughout the weekend but I was blown away on Sunday morning when Breeder-Judge Stacey Gann-Trentham pointed at Ellie for her Winners Bitch and again as Best of Winners, Best BBE & Best Puppy! I am still pinching myself that this special little girl already has both majors--ten points--a few days before turning 8 months old!
